Hi, my name is Chris. If you are considering having counselling with me you will want to know a little bit about me.
I have lived on the Wirral for most of my life and had a wide range of life and work experience before becoming a counsellor. My previous jobs included creative arts, running a small charity supporting carers, working with older veterans, and one summer in Somerset picking strawberries!
I drew on my own experiences through my counselling training and now in middle age I have a profession which I love. I spent 4 years training and qualified with a CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I am an Accredited Member of the National Counselling Society. Since qualifying I have worked for a counselling charity, helping people with a wide range of problems, short- and long-term, as well as private practice.
Feedback from clients frequently refers to the empowering and transforming effects of their sessions, to them feeling a genuine warmth and human connection in our relationship, and it is this above all which enabled them to explore their feelings and express themselves in ways they had not otherwise had.
No matter what problems you bring you will always be met by me with warmth, care and understanding. Being an integrative counsellor means I can be responsive to your needs and, working together, I can help you to find the best way forward for you to make lasting improvement to your life and mental health. The effects of your counselling can last you a lifetime.
